Excessive runoff continues from the Texas Capitol to Alamo City this evening from earlier heavy rainfall up to 7 inches for some. It will take time for these flood waters to recede, so please take your time on the roadways and never drive through areas of pooled water.

A warming trend begins tomorrow, and with very saturated soils from recent rains, it will feel muggy for most with heat index near 100 degrees.

While our overall trends show very low rain chances, we can’t rule out a stray isolated shower or two otherwise clearing skies are expected during the afternoon, with high temperatures around 90 for DFW, lower to mid-90s for Central and South-Central Texas and mid-90s to 100s for coastal regions to Laredo and El Paso.

Low rain chances will linger into the weekend, but the majority of us will stay dry, with temperatures climbing to seasonably warm values.
