DAYTON, Ohio — A center in Dayton is calling for blood donations, saying the summer and holiday season can be challenges for blood supplies. 

Versiti Dayton Donor Center said during Memorial Day, blood donations drop, which could lead to shortages. 

Through May 27, officials are offering a $25 E-gift card for those who donate blood at the Versiti Dayton Donor Center or any mobile drive.

Scheduling a donation can be done through their website or by calling 937-461-3220. Donors are encouraged to use the code "HONOR" to quality for the gift card.

Walk-ins are also welcome. 

Special Memorial Day Weekend Hours:

  • Sunday, May 25: 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Donor Center only)
  • Monday, May 26: Closed
