A cold front will bring strong to severe storms across South Carolina this evening. There is potential for damaging winds, hail and a tornado.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 3/5 threat for severe weather for most of the state through this evening.
A line of storms will move in from the west early in the afternoon and track east across the state through the evening. As storms move east, they could bring locally heavy rain along with damaging winds, hail and a tornado.
The line of storms will push offshore late this evening and high pressure will build into the region bringing drier air and sunshine by Tuesday.
