CONWAY, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers go head to head against App State Thursday night. The game is expected to draw large crowds both in-person and on-air as ESPN's Sports Center is set to broadcast the game from the Coastal Carolina campus.
The game comes just ahead of the Sun Belt Conference clash between the Chants and Mountaineers. With both teams coming in with 4-4 records, the game will play a big role in bowl eligibility.
Both schools have hosted College Gameday before. Coastal Carolina was chosen in 2020 where they were ranked nationally for much of the year. App State hosted ESPN on the mountain two years later.
Thursday night's broadcast will run from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is set to take place at Blaton Park, which is just a short walk from the teal turf of Brooks Stadium.
"I couldn't be more excited to welcome ESPN's SportsCenter to our campus ahead of our game against App State," said Chance Miller, CCU's Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and University Recreation. "This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the energy of Teal Nation and the achievements happening across Coastal. I encourage all fans, students, faculty, and staff to come out and make history with the largest live SportsCenter crowd ever—let's show the nation what makes Coastal Carolina so special!"
