COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Alliance Party of South Carolina executive committee says the organization desires to provide voters with a more diverse selection of candidates instead of a two-party system. However, as of Monday, that alternate choice will no longer be on the ballot. The party pulled its nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. following his decision to suspend his campaign.

The decision comes with just 70 days remaining until the 2024 election. Republican nominee Donald Trump has since added Kennedy to his transition team. This completes a bender for the politician. He first announced his campaign as a Democrat, then decided to run as an independent, and is now joining the team of the Republican Nominee.

"Seventy-one percent of the American people say they want to see a Third-Party option provided to them." Said Keisha Long, chair of the Alliance Party. "We and our candidates remain committed to achieving that goal with candidates who run to the finish line."

Instead, the Alliance Party chooses to endorse a former legacy party opponent.
