CHARLESTON, S.C. — A South Carolina cancer survivor completed her national cancer awareness campaign by giving back to the institution that treated her.

Breast cancer survivor, Agnes Judge presented the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Hollings Cancer Center with a $1,000 check on Thursday during a small ceremony.

Judge vowed to visit a cancer treatment center in every state to raise awareness for the disease after beating breast cancer alongside medical staff at the Hollings Cancer Center in 2019.

Since May of 2023, Judge has visited and donated to 51 cancer centers across the United States, with Thursday’s visit marking the end of her 21-month long national tour.

Judge intentionally saved the milestone for home.

According to MUSC officials, the funds will benefit the Hollings Patient Support Fund to help patients struggling with costs such as lodging near the cancer center, transportation, and even groceries and utilities.
