Columbia, S.C. — The winners for the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther king Jr. Dream Keeper Scholarship and the Honor the Dream Food Drive were announced on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
Applications were accepted by the City of Columbia from elementary, middle, and high school students enrolled in Richland School District One. The scholarship recognizes exemplary displays of committed service to the tenets of Dr. King.
Here’s a look at the scholarship winners:
Elementary

2025 MLK Honor the Dream Food Drive
Starting in November of 2024, the City of Columbia partnered with Harvest Hope Food Bank for donations in honor of MLK’s community service legacy.
Burton Pack Elementary raised 636 pounds, Southeast Middle raised 209 pounds, and Richland One Middle College raised 406 pounds.
