COLUMBIA, S.C. — Senate Republicans voted Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) as chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) for the 2026 cycle.

Scott was elected on Wednesday after running uncontested for the position. He replaces Sen. Steve Daines (R-M.T.).

“My passion is making sure that we defend our current seats and expand the map and expand our majority,” said Senator Scott in a press conference following the election. “So President Trump does not have two years with a Republican majority in the Senate, he has four years in control of making sure America’s agenda comes home to each and every household.”

Scott will oversee Senate Republican's efforts to keep their majority, putting him at the center of campaign efforts ahead of midterms.

He will also chair the Senate Banking Committee once Republicans take control of the assembly in January.
