Florence, S.C. –  The South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs (SCDVA) in partnership with Harvest Hope Food Bank has announced its Third Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for Veterans aimed at providing essential food items to Veterans and their families facing food insecurity. 

This is a community driven initiative that is designed to support Veterans and their families in need during this upcoming holiday season.  Some of the most needed items are: 

  • Rice

  • Pasta

  • Dried Beans

  • Canned Veggies

  • Canned Fruit

  • Mac and Cheese

  • Peanut Butter

  • Cereal

  • Ramen Noodles

  • Boxed and pouched proteins (Tuna and Chicken)

This is the first year that this food drive will expand across the state of South Carolina, servicing the Midlands, Pee Dee, and Upstate areas. The food drive will run from November 11 until November 22.

Donations can be dropped off at the food bank in Florence, Columbia, and Greenville.
