GREENVILLE, S.C. —  The Southeastern Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament extended its contract with the city of Greenville through 2028, the conference announced on Wednesday.

The Bon Secours Wellness Arena has hosted the event in 2005, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024 and will host it during the upcoming 2025 season. In tournament history, since 1980, 14 cities have hosted the women’s basketball conference championship.

“The City of Greenville and Bon Secours Wellness Arena have proven to be successful hosts of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament, and we are pleased to call Greenville home for three additional years,” said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. “The city’s hospitality and organization combined with the quality of the arena make Greenville an ideal location to provide a memorable experience for SEC women’s basketball student-athletes, coaches and fans.”

The first time The Well hosted the tournament was back in 2005, under its previous name, “The Bi-Lo Center”.

According to the SEC, public book sales for the tournament drop on Nov. 12. Ticket renewals open beginning Oct. 12 and close on Nov. 5.
