COLUMBIA, S.C. - A business based out of Minnesota is coming to the upstate and bringing 150 new jobs with it. On Tuesday, Smartpress, an online printing company, announced its decision to make a nearly 10 million dollar investment to start a new operation in Duncan, South Carolina.

“South Carolina is an ideal location for a company like Smartpress to establish operations." Said Governor Henry McMaster. "We congratulate the company on this $9.6 million investment in Spartanburg County and look forward to a strong and successful partnership.”

The company will be leasing a 94,000 square foot facility in Spartanburg County and hopes to begin operations in November.

“Our decision to expand Smartpress into South Carolina was driven by the region’s dynamic population growth and a talented workforce eager for opportunity." Said Smartpress Vice President Matt Chapman. "We are proud to bring our 100% employee-owned company to Spartanburg County, knowing the local community will play a key role in our continued success and innovation in print production.”
