GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Greenville County school district is planning to expand. On Tuesday August 27, the school board approved the purchase of 29-acres of land along highway 25.  District leaders say this land will be used to build a new Northwest Middle School.

The new location is about a 10-minute drive from the current middle school campus. Greenville County School district media correspondent Tim Waller cites the school’s age as the primary reason for wanting a new building and that the new middle school should be up and running by 2027.
