Severe storms are possible across Massachusetts this afternoon and evening. There is a level 2/5 threat for gusty winds and hail within storms.

It warms up into the low 80s this afternoon with dry conditions this morning before unsettled conditions return. Scattered showers and storms will develop this afternoon and evening with the severe potential, along with embedded downpours.

The forecast will remain unsettled into the weekend.

Expect more shower and storm chances Saturday as a series of fronts passes New England. 

It should dry out more Sunday with cooler temperatures this weekend, as well.
