Fans of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are dismayed to learn that the best match made in snack food heaven is not available in U.S. stores.
The Australian branch of the sweet treat chain launched its mashup recipe this month, which includes a peanut butter sauce filling and a topping of peanut butter chips and vanilla cookie crumbs. A Reese's milkshake is also on offer.
UK Krispy Kreme outlets take the doughnut a step further and add raspberry jam to their Reese's creation.
While Reese's doughnuts won't be making an appearance in American Krispy Kreme shops anytime soon, the company has spent the summer offering international twists to their signature morning fare. Creme brulee, tirimasu and churro-style doughnuts are on sale at stores nationwide through Sunday.
