Syracuse celebrates Juneteenth this weekend around downtown; however, be on the lookout for street closings starting today.
These will be in place through Sunday morning:
- Clinton Street from Genesee St. to Washington St.
- Erie Boulevard West from Clinton to Franklin St.
- W. Water Street from Clinton to Franklin
The Juneteenth flag will be raised tomorrow at City Hall, and there will also be a festival in Clinton Square.
The annual parade steps off Saturday, and an ancestral celebration is set to be held at city hall on Wednesday, June 19, the official Juneteenth holiday.
