Progress is being made in the court case surrounding the 22nd Congressional District race, a district that’s currently not represented.
In the court's eyes, there were electoral issues in seven of the district's eight counties.
The Oneida County Board of Elections is canvassing previously rejected affidavits.
The judge said a final decision and order on challenged ballots will be issued Friday.
As part of that, certain affidavit and absentee ballots that were not opened due to administerial errors by boards of elections will be opened and canvassed.
Final canvasses will then proceed on Monday.
