It is glorious Fall. The time of year when things are colorful, warm, cozy and crafty... er, well a lot of people are crafty. But where do you find the time to make these beautiful, warm items that help bring the season into your home and to your family? And what if you lack the talent?

We understand. I think I have found an adorable shortcut! Bonus, it's so safe and simple that you can do this one with your kids!

I actually saw my Facebook friend Nancy Armbruster do this craft and reached out to her to see if she could do it for all of our Parent Portal friends. Low and behold right here in Central New York she has her own Craft Social Media page and following! I never knew. She has been in law enforcement forever, so I had no idea she was this craft genius. I just thought she was busy protecting our streets and an exceptional marksman! Find her great ideas @CozyRedCape on Instagram. So even better, I accidently picked an expert.

So Nancy is SUPER crafty. But this fall craft is fast, cheap, and requires very little in the way of supplies. It also requires very few tools. This makes it safe for the tiniest hands to help and for me! Creating a perfect project to bond with all ages in your home.

Here is what you will need for this Family Fall Craft:

5 minutes of time

The sleeve of an old sweater

Fill or any kind of stuffing

Twine, ribbon, string, or yarn. You pick!

A short twig or stick yard

Scissors

Have fun spending some easy, special bonding time with your family and send me pictures of your pumpkins with their homemade pumpkins for us to use on the air!

Also, send me your Parent Portal questions, and I would love to track down the answers.
