WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- I first noticed this yard sign in Watertown on my way into the office a few weeks ago.
I thought it was fun and tweeted out a picture.
But for whatever reason I looked it up today and Willie Nelson for President is actually a thing, kind of. Perhaps movement would be the best word.
I don't think there are too many people that took it seriously, but least one website that focuses on what Willie is most known for besides music, wondered out loud.
His website has all sorts of items for sale that say 'Willie Nelson for President', including that yard sign.
I did some web searches and came across this article from SXSW, where the 82 year old country star made a surprise appearance and discussed what a circus this election season has been.
Then, I found this Facebook page, although I assume there's a Facebook page for everything.
It also wasn't that long ago he said this in support of the Democrats, Bernie and Hillary.
It's all fun to talk and laugh and I'm sure the merchandise is a money maker for the singer, but I guess when you think about it, it's certainly not impossible. (Trump, Ventura, Arnold, Franken, etc.).
I mean this year, why not right? Ha!
