The Syracuse University football team is losing a top offensive weapon and one of its best pass catchers in program history.
Tight end Oronde Gadsden II announced his plans Monday to declare for the National Football League draft.
The redshirt junior is ending a decorated SU career as the program's leader in receiving yards and receptions for a tight end. He is tenth overall in receiving yards for any player.
Gadsden was named a third-team All-American by the Associated Press for his performance this season.
