Fort Drum paused for a moment Wednesday to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The post held a ceremony at Memorial Park, honoring Specialist Branden Kimball of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade and Specialist Vincent Ibarria of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, both were assigned to overseas battalions out of Fort Drum.
It's just one way Fort Drum tries to make sure they're not forgotten.
"The lives of those two soldiers will be remembered forever. Forever here in Memorial Park. It's important to remember their lives, courage legacy and service," said Brig. Gen. Brett Funck, Fort Drum & 10th Mountain Division's deputy commanding general.
Spc. Branden Kimball, 21, of Central Point, Oregon, died in a non-combat related incident in Afghanistan in February.
Spc. Vincent Ibarria, 21, of San Antonio, Texas, died in a vehicle rollover crash in Afghanistan in July.
The ceremony also honored all fallen soldiers in the installation's history.
