A Rockaway Beach fighter turns into an author to help motivate others.

Christopher Romulo just published his memoir "Champions Uprising: Fall 7 Times, Get Up 8."

In the book,  the Queens Village-native talks about how studying Muay Thai changed him from a street fighter to a professional one.

Romulo also details finding his studio under water after Hurricane Sandy.

He hopes his story inspires others. "I want to make sure I'm reaching people that sometimes feel like they are stuck or out of control in life, and I want to help people take decisive control over their minds," Romulo said.

"These kind of things really help people, you know, dig deep and fight," the co-author added.

E-book and print versions of "Champions Uprising" are now available on Amazon
