NEW YORK - Police are looking for a man suspected of using Craigslist and a fake police badge to rob people throughout the city.
Investigators say the man responded to three separate Craigslist ads to buy a cell phone.
In each incident they say he's met up with the victims and displayed a fake police ID.
In two of the cases, he allegedly took cell phones from the victims.
Police say he’s in his 20s and drives off in a white four-door sedan with New Jersey plates.
The most recent incident happened June 3 on University Place near Bronx Community College.
Police say the man also struck in February on the Upper West Side, and near Prospect Park in April.
