BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Those calling for the removal of Carl Paladino from the Buffalo School Board have taken over Niagara Square in protest.

Paladino has been under pressure to resign since derogatory comments he made about President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were published in an ArtVoice article last week.

In the article Paladino said "he wished Obama would die of Mad Cow Disease and called Michelle Obama a man who he wished would go back to Zimbabwe."

A special board meeting to discuss member misconduct is being held inside the common council chambers Thursday afternoon.
