LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- As most North Country communities begin to pack up for the winter, Lake Placid is just getting started for a busy season ahead.

The "Winter Sports Capital of the World" will once again take the tourism center stage with all of its Olympic venues and entertainment. And as people head to the Adirondacks for some skiing, bobsledding and skating, employees are needed to help run them.

ORDA, the group that runs the Olympic venues, is hosting a job fair next Wednesday.

It is set for November 9 at the Whiteface Mountain Base Lodge from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Positions in guest services, ticket sales, catering and food and beverage supervision will be available to apply for.

Some jobs may include limited benefits.
