WEST SENECA, N.Y. -- A West Seneca worker died from injuries he sustained while on the job last week.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by a co-worker to help Don Schultz's family.

According to the website, Schultz was injured Tuesday during work involving one the West Seneca Highway Department's "big" trucks.

It says Schultz died Saturday at Erie County Medical Center. Schultz worked for the West Seneca Highway Department for 30 years. According to the website, he has six children. Nearly $23,000 of the $25,000 goal has been raised as of Monday morning.

West Seneca Town Supervisor Sheila Meegan said in a statement:

“We are saddened by the loss of Don Schultz one of the Town’s long time, most dedicated employees,” Meegan wrote. “Our thoughts and prayers immediately turn towards his loving family during this difficult time. Godspeed my friend.”
