SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Carrier Dome is playing host to more than 50 of the top marching bands in the northeast. Saturday marked the 42nd New York State Field Band Conference Championship show.
The bands compete in six different classes based on school size and experience. Each band performs for eight to ten minutes, and is judged by a 10 person panel. The winners from each class taken home the coveted Governor’s Cup. Last
year’s champions included West Genesee, New Hartford, Jamestown, Phoenix, Huntington and Union-Endicott.
