Could there be any better way to cool down on a hot summer day, than with ice cream? How about if that ice cream was not only delicious, but ranked nationally on a popular travel website? Briggette Sayegh has more on a creamery in Warwick that has all of the above.

WARWICK, N.Y.-- Looking for the perfect ice cream cone? You won't have to travel far, according to popular travel site TripAdvisor. It recently released a list of the 10 best ice cream shops in America, and Bellvale Farms Creamery in Warwick came in at number 2.

"It's better than a franchise type like Ben & Jerry's which is just processed in a factory-type ice cream. This is delicious ice cream you can get locally," said Taylor Brady, who lives in Warwick and frequents the shop.

Since opening 12 years ago, this charming shop, with dozens of different flavors for every pallet, has attracted ice cream lovers near and far.

"I'm definitely proud to see a local business get recognized. I wasn't surprised, it was almost like a reminder for us to come out here again because we haven't been here since last year. It was great," said Aggy Brady, while enjoying a coconut watermelon sorbet.

And if the ice cream isn't enought to take your breath away, the view can't be beat either.

"The ice cream is very good and the view is spectacular so I think together, it's a good experience," said creamery owner Amy Noteboom.

According to TripAdvisor, rankings are based on the quality and quantity of reviews and opinions from millions of travelers. The creamery has become a staple for locals looking to show off what this small town has to offer.

"My family is visiting from Maryland and Virginia, so this is the first place we thought to bring them," said Jennifer Kispert. "Everybody come up here. It's worth it, it's fabulous, and it's very well-priced too. They're very friendly."
