Central New York will have to wait another year to see Billy Joel and Sting on stage at the Dome.
Joel announced via social media Tuesday that eight upcoming tour dates — three solo shows, four with Sting and one with Stevie Nicks — have been rescheduled due to Joel's "medical condition" as he recovers from surgery.
The Syracuse date on the tour, featuring Joel and Sting, was originally scheduled for April 11, but will now be moved back a year to April 10, 2026. All purchased tickets for the show will be valid for the new date.
"While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first," Joel said in a statement. "I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding."
When it comes to Syracuse, Joel hasn't been there for the longest time — according to Syracuse University, his last Dome appearance was in 2015. The 2026 concert will be his eighth Dome concert, though. Sting, meanwhile, hasn't performed at the Dome since 1984, with the Police.
