Longtime SUNY Oswego President Deborah Stanley announced her retirement Monday after more than 26 years leading the college.

Stanley was appointed as the school's 10th president in 1997 after serving as interim president.

Under her leadership, Stanley established numerous programs to help students succeed, while implementing just under $1 billion in renovations and construction projects on campus.

Stanley has been serving the campus community for 44 years.

Her official last day will be on December 31.
