New York women can now buy birth control without a prescription. The State Health Commissioner signed an order today allowing pharmacists to prescribe hormonal contraceptives without a doctor's order. All of this was set up by a law passed and signed last year. Also, New York is slowly opening the door to for-profit, private equity-backed hospice care.
