A large storm system will approach tonight with snow spreading in from south to north after midnight. Lows will be in the low 20s.
Tuesday will be a messy day with snow changing to an icy of sleet then freezing rain as temperatures climb into the low and mid 30s. Plan for extra time for the morning commute. A messy 4 to 7 inches of snow and sleet accumulation are expected.
Colder air will drain back in on Wednesday with snow showers likely. Temps will hold in the 20s but falling. Winds will likely gust 40 to 50 mph Tuesday night and Wednesday. Be prepared for changeable road and visibility conditions.
Thursday will be a fairly quiet day with highs back up in the mid to upper 30s. A warmer system will arrive Friday into Saturday with more rain than a mix, but the am commute may be slower than normal Friday.
Colder air will then return on Sunday and into the beginning of next week.
