IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — The busiest swing bridge in our region reopens on Monday.
The Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge is returning to service for cars and trucks.
It swings closed during the spring and summer months to allow boats to travel between Irondequoit Bay and Lake Ontario. Come November, it reconnects Irondequoit and Webster along the lakeshore.
The bridge will remain open to road traffic throughout the winter. It will close again in April.
