HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Art lovers in the Rochester area have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Vincent Van Gogh.

The incredible museum experience "Beyond Van Gogh" began its run at the Dome Arena in Henrietta on Friday.

There are 350 of the iconic artist's works that have been digitally remastered and are displayed in a moving montage.

Visitors can sit or walk around during the show while music plays and the artwork comes to life.

"Van Gogh has such a worldwide appeal," said David Taylor, owner of Empire State Concerts. "I think it's part of the story. He lived a bit of a tragic life. It was cut short by his own hand. But his artwork was so unique and vibrant for the time that it still resonates today."

The "Beyond Van Gogh" experience started about a year and a half ago and has sold 2.5 million tickets across the U.S. and Canada.

Tickets for the Dome Arena show can be purchased on the event's website. It runs through Mar. 20.
