ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Seabreeze Amusement Park will open its gates again on Saturday. It was forced to remain closed last year due to the ongoing pandemic.

The park is following state COVID-19 guidelines to keep people safe and healthy while they go ride rides like the famous Jack Rabbit.

A lot of people have anticipated the park's reopening. Saturday's tickets are already sold out.

Operations Manager Alex Kulp says staff members are just as excited as the community to see the park come alive again.

"Wonderful, we are so excited to be open again," said Kulp. "We're humbled to be serving the Rochester community again, providing safe outdoor family fun as we always have for a very, very long time."

He says missing the 2020 season was devastating.

"It was tough," he said. "It was frustrating for us even last year to ramp up all the way to that point and then never get to go ahead. You know, it was frustrating but you've got to take charge and adapt and be ready and you know come out stronger."

Here's what visitors can expect this season:

  • You must buy tickets in advance online
  • Reduced hours 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. for rides and 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. for waterpark
