The kids are off for February break and many families are looking for things to do. There are plenty activities around the Rochester area to keep them busy.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, sledding at Cobb’s Hill Park is always a good choice. You can also take advantage of ice skating in Manhattan Square Park. During winter recess, Saturday hours will be in effect Monday through Friday with open skate from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., 3:40 p.m. to 5:10 p.m., 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. Skating ends for the season on March 15.

If you’re more of an indoor person that doesn’t like being in out the cold, it’s animal week at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. Animal Week allows visitors to engage in hands-on learning about different members of the animal kingdom with an opportunity to pet and even hold a number of the animals. It's happening this week through Sunday. RMSC is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but this special event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A special winter break pass is being offered that's good for both the Ontario Play & Cafe indoor playground on Scottsville Road and Bounce Hopper indoor inflatable center on Monroe Avenue. The passes can be purchased online and are good through February 23.

Clubhouse Fun Center is also offering a winter break special that's good throughout the week. The special is valid at both the Henrietta and Greece locations. Click here for more information.
