The quest for the Stanley Cup spans multiple universes now and you can get in on the action.

The Buffalo Sabres are on a mission like no other — off the ice — thanks to Pan American Film Division.

"Sabres: Buffalo -vs- the Multiverse" is a series of graphic novels created by Travis Carlson. This is multiverse project number two for him. He already partnered with the Bills for a multiverse mission.

It was a huge success. They planned to sell 300 copies. As of now, they are at 3,000.

The Sabres series starts with Alex Tuch escaping from the desert universe of the Golden Nights. He then meets Jeff Skinner, who is a shepherd of the goat heads. Then they met RJ, who is lovingly represented as sort of like a wizard mentor character. At that point, their journey to find a lost city and the cup begins.

For Carlson, it’s a way to celebrate Buffalo and inspire kids to be creative and dream.

What’s special about this project is 10,000 copies are going to Buffalo and Niagara Falls students.

“You can do anything with your mind and your creativity, right?" said Carlson. "And we were even talking in this like, 'what if kids could do a creative writing project where they continue the story themselves?' This I feel it kind of is rooted in a kid's mind and excitement of like, 'let's just do everything and nothing matters.'"

You can get your hands on the adventures, too. Plus, there are posters. A new one drops each month and there will be a total of five.

Right now, these are geared toward older kids, but Carlson says he’s hoping to create a version for younger readers at some point.
