In the last regular season Friday Night Matchup, the undefeated Eastridge Lancers will take on the 4-2 Greece Arcadia Titans. A win would make the Lancers the number one seed in their division.

Spectrum News was in Irondequoit Friday morning as East Ridge High School prepped for the game.

Lancers Football Captain Matthew Brantley says you can expect a competitive matchup against Greece Arcadia to close out the regular season.

“It’s been a long time since we’ve won and been undefeated, so this game is very important this is going to be a hard game so if we can pull this off we can be the number one seed,” said Brantley.

Cheering them on will be Eastridge Cheerleading Squad.

“I’m excited because it’s my last one and I want them to win because they’re undefeated,” said Lynez Ramos, one of the squad's cheerleading captains.

With five straight sectional wins, the squad is focused on keeping the streak alive with another championship.

“Every year we know that we have to be better than our last performance and we can’t slack off because there are always people that want to beat you so you have to work hard," said Cheerleading Captain Maria Sansone.

The six-time state champion Eastridge Marching Band will perform at halftime. Seniors like Drum Major Emma Noble are taking a moment to let it sink in that this is the last regular season football game in which she'll perform.

“It definitely hit me when we did homecoming because I was like this is is my last homecoming," said Noble, "I’ve done this for seven years so for my last football game I hope it’s really good because it will be really memorable. Being with the band is the best part of my day. It’s what I wake up for.”
