ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police say the Arson Task Force is investigating an incident inside the Civic Center parking garage where police say a man tried to set another man on fire.
It comes as the county has beefed up security following recent violence inside the garage.
Officers say Tuesday afternoon's incident involved two men who were arguing. That's when officers say one man tried to set fire to the other.
The fire did not spread and the victim actually took off before police got there, they say.
Earlier this month, a man was arrested for assault after police say he used a hockey stick to attack a father in front of his family.
The county says it is working to find alternative housing for the homeless community who use the garage for shelter during the winter months.
