GREECE, N.Y. — Security is heightened at Greece Arcadia High School after officials say a student posted a threat of violence online.

The message listed students who would be targeted. School officials say police and district staff responded to the student's home within 20 minutes of the post going online. The post has since been taken down.

The district reports the student does not have access to weapons and claimed the post was a joke shared with a small group of friends. The student will not be allowed on campus pending disciplinary action.

Dedicated resource officers and other security are on campus Friday at Greece Arcadia.
