HENRIETTA, N.Y. — The Gene Polisseni Center on the RIT campus is closed on Friday following an ammonia leak overnight. The center houses the school's hockey rink.

Crews with the Henrietta Fire Department and Monroe County Hazmat are investigating the situation. Andrews Drive has been shut down from Reynolds Drive to Wiltsie Drive, including the U lot.

RIT says cleanup is underway and people are being asked to avoid the area. No one has been hurt and officials say there is no threat to the public, although there may be an odor detectable in the area.
