CALEDONIA, N.Y. — The Livingston County Sheriff's Office have officially identified the 21-year-old woman killed in a fire in Caledonia this weekend.
Mikayla Ross died Saturday evening after she was trapped in this fire on Caledonia Avon Road. Firefighters pulled her out of the fire and attempted lifesaving measures, but she died at the scene.
A sheriff's sergeant and deputy were treated on scene for minor injuries. Seven people, including two children, have been displaced due to the fire and Red Cross is assisting.
The Caledonia Fire District says it responded to a scene on Caledonia Avon Road around 7:30 p.m.
A neighbor tells Spectrum News firefighters rescued a woman from the building. We're told multiple crews from surrounding counties were called in.
Livingston Fire Investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.
