HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Henrietta firefighters say a fire inside the old Vista Heights Inn on West Henrietta Road on Tuesday was likely caused by people living inside what they thought was a vacant building.
"And I'm not talking about just living. They had Christmas lights. They had a fully-stocked refrigerator. They had a lot of stuff going on for being a vacant building," said Chief Mark Strzyzynski of the Henrietta Fire District.
Sheriff's deputies charged two people with criminal trespass. Firefighters were able to contain most of the damage to the roof.
