CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says speed likely played a role in a four-vehicle crash that killed a 39-year-old woman and injured two teenagers.
The sheriff's reconstruction unit was on the scene Tuesday evening at the intersection of Airport Road and Route 332 in Canandaigua.
The sheriff tells Spectrum News that four vehicles, including a tractor trailer, collided at that intersection.
The 39-year-old victim of the crash was in a car with a 12-year-old and 17-year-old, and the two teens were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to FF Thompson hospital to be checked out.
The sheriff says his office's investigation is underway, and anyone who may have seen the crash is asked to call the office.
The victim's names have not yet been released.
