Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren on Thursday extended the city's emergency order for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

That includes several items including an overnight curfew that goes into effect from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily.

The curfew makes it unlawful to gather in groups of five or more in a public place in the City of Rochester.

That includes any outdoor area that is open to the public, including streets, sidewalks, parks, parking lots, and vacant lots.

Mayor Lovely Warren signed the order in July in an effort to curb overnight violence. Free the People Roc filed a lawsuit in response to the order.
