A triple shooting and homicide in Rochester just hours after the city's police chief addressed the violence over the weekend.

Police say the three victims were hanging out in a parking lot at the corner of Thurston Road and Flanders Street when someone opened fire on the group around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Bryson Simpson, 39, of Rochester, died at the scene. A 37-year-old woman was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance, and a 20-year-old Rochester man was dropped off there by private vehicle. According to police, are both expected to survive.
