Three men were hurt in Ontario County on Friday morning when the barn they were tearing down collapsed on them.

Authorities say the workers had already removed the barn's walls and were trying to take down the frame and roof when it fell around 8 a.m.

One of the men suffered a broken arm, another was knocked unconscious. The third man suffered a serious ankle injury. He was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital.

"Everyone was conscious, alert, and breathing, talking to us, so that's a good sign," said Sgt. Cory Herendeen of the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say the workers were hired by the property owner to take down the barn.
