Five people are recovering from gunshot wounds after a violent night in the city of Rochester.
Officers responded to an address on Clifford Avenue near Dudley Street just before 11:30 Tuesday night for a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found two male victims with bullet wounds.
Both men were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. Police say the 33-year-old victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the 30-year-old is listed in critical but stable condition. The victim's names have not been released.
Hours later, around 3:30 a.m., officers were called to Lyell Avenue, east of Hague Street, for another shooting. When police arrived at that scene, they found three victims with gunshot wounds.
Police say a 19-year-old man, an 18-year-old man, and a 21-year-old woman were all taken to the hospital by AMR and are expected to recover. Their names have not been released.
Police have not announced any arrests yet in either case. There is no word on whether the two incidents are connected.
