Sheriff's deputies in Yates County are still looking for a man who went missing while canoeing on Seneca Lake on Sunday.

A second man was rescued after the canoe capsized.

The Yates County Sheriff's Office says two men never arrived at their summer home in Himrod after attempting to paddle across the lake. They were reported missing around 9 p.m. Sunday.

Crews searched on the water and from the air. A helicopter's spotlight found the partially submerged canoe with one man clinging to it in the center of the lake.

He was pulled from the water by the Yates County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with hypothermia.

Police, fire and marine crews will be back out on the water and with drones again on Monday to try and find the second man.
