Two men accused of robbing an AT&T store in Irondequoit pleaded not guilty in court on Wednesday.
Troy McCullough and Raekwon Fuqua are accused of stealing items from the East Ridge Road AT&T around 8 p.m. Tuesday. Both men are charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree grand larceny.
Irondequoit police said the investigation led them to Rochester where the two suspects were found at a home on Champlain Street. Initial reports that a gun was involved led police to shut down traffic in the neighborhood for hours.
Police wouldn’t say if a gun was located but did say police presence is increased this time of the year.
"During the holiday season we do increase our patrols especially in shopping centers, just for the fact that there are more people out and about shopping because of the holiday season,” said Irondequoit Police Capt. Alan Laird. “We do remind everyone to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings.
McCullough, who has four prior felony convictions, is being held without bail. However, Fuqua is being held on $50,000 cash/$100,000 bond.
Both suspects are due back in court next week.
