Police are investigating a crash in Webster that killed one person early Thursday morning.
It happened shortly before 1 a.m. on Lake Road just east of Phillips Road.
The car left the road, crashed through a fence and then struck a tree in the yard of a home.
The driver of the fatal accident has been identified as 22-year-old Isaiha L. Rodriguez of Irondequoit, according to a statement by Webster police.
First responders say the driver suffered significant injuries and was unresponsive when they arrived. Despite attempts to save his life, he died at the scene.
He was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The road was shut down for several hours while police investigated and cleared the scene.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Webster Police Department Crash Management Team.
